Privacy Policy
Life Vault is designed as a local-first private records app operated by Lunexa Labs. This policy explains what data may stay on your device, what may be processed for optional services, and the responsibilities that remain with you.
Information you choose to organize
Life Vault may help you organize family profiles, emergency contacts, identity records, documents, insurance references, medical references, assets, subscriptions, legal and estate references, family instructions, digital account references, backups, exports, and related notes. You decide what to enter, import, attach, back up, restore, or export.
Local-first vault
Life Vault is designed around local encrypted records. You can use the app without an account, and vault records are intended to stay on your device unless you choose a feature that backs up, restores, exports, shares, or otherwise moves data outside the local vault.
Optional Cloud Backup
Cloud Backup is optional. When enabled, Life Vault may upload encrypted backup files and operational metadata needed to create, list, validate, preview, download, restore, and manage encrypted backup workflows. Lunexa Labs is not intended to receive readable vault contents, raw PINs, raw recovery keys, backup passwords, or unencrypted attachments through Cloud Backup.
Exports and sharing
Exports are user-controlled and created only when you choose to prepare or share information. Exported files, screenshots, printed copies, downloads, shared links, and other copies may no longer be protected by the app's local vault lock or encryption. You are responsible for deciding what to export, where to store it, and who can access it.
Recovery material and data loss risk
Keep recovery keys, backup passwords, device passcodes, backup files, and other recovery material somewhere safe and separate from your device. Lost recovery material, corrupted backups, device failure, operating system changes, accidental deletion, failed restore attempts, or user error may make encrypted data permanently unrecoverable. Lunexa Labs cannot unlock encrypted data for you if required recovery material is lost or unavailable.
Website, support, and store data
The public website may process standard hosting logs, security logs, device/browser information, referral information, and messages you send to support. App stores and payment providers may process downloads, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, device information, and account information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Service providers and legal compliance
Lunexa Labs may use service providers for hosting, security, diagnostics, email, support, app distribution, payment processing, crash reporting, analytics, backup infrastructure, and related operations. Information may also be used or disclosed when required to comply with law, enforce terms, prevent abuse, protect users, protect the service, or respond to lawful requests.
Security limits
Lunexa Labs uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for the service, but no app, device, cloud service, backup process, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure. You are responsible for device security, operating system updates, account security, recovery material, export storage, and safe handling of sensitive information.
Retention and deletion
Local vault records remain under your control on your device unless you delete them, uninstall the app, restore from backup, export them, or use an optional service that stores related data. Cloud Backup data, support messages, logs, and operational records may be retained as needed to provide the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and maintain security.
Children and sensitive information
Life Vault is not intended for children to use without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Do not enter information you are not authorized to store. Be especially careful with medical, identity, financial, legal, family, and emergency information because misuse, disclosure, or loss of that information may create serious consequences.
Professional and regulated records
Life Vault is an organization tool and is not a regulated medical record system, legal service, financial institution, insurer, estate executor, emergency service, fiduciary, or professional advisor. Do not rely on Life Vault as the only place where legally, medically, financially, or operationally critical records are stored.
