Account Deletion

Life Vault account deletion is handled inside the app so the request can be confirmed with your signed-in cloud account and device security.

What this deletes

The in-app deletion flow requests deletion of your cloud account and cloud backup data. Local vault data on your device is not deleted by this action. If you want to remove local vault data too, delete local records/backups from the device or uninstall the app after you have saved anything you still need.

Before you start

Account deletion is permanent and should only be used when you are sure you no longer need cloud backups for this account. Save any backup files, exports, recovery keys, or records you still need before requesting deletion.

In-app steps

Open Life Vault, sign in to the cloud account if needed, then open Settings > Cloud account > Open Cloud Backup. In Cloud Backup, find Account management and choose Delete cloud account.

Confirmation

To prevent accidental deletion, the app asks you to type DELETE. It then asks you to confirm your PIN before submitting the deletion request.

After the request

When the request is accepted, the app shows Account deletion request sent. If the request cannot be completed, the app may show that account deletion could not be completed or that the delete-account function is not configured.

If you cannot access the app or the deletion request fails, contact support@lifevaultapp.co from the email address connected to your cloud account and include that you are requesting Life Vault cloud account deletion.
